y.e.s. provide a confidential, non judgemental and informal service for young people between the ages of 11 and 25, within Colchester and expanding to Tendring, who are facing difficulties in their lives.
If you find yourself homeless and need housing advice, if you are overwhelmed with problems or in a family crisis, in despair, feeling desperate, low or depressed and would like to talk to someone or even feeling very alone and or suicidal, if you need advice on debt or money management or would like to know what benefits you are entitled to, or if you are pregnant and a teenager or a young family who needs support, then y.e.s. can help you.
y.e.s. can provide help and support with many problems that you may be experiencing - and if we can't help you directly ourselves then we do our best to find someone who will, and we fully support you in getting that help.
For a friendly chat, or further information, call us on 01206 710771, or pop in to see us at 9 Trinity Street, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1JN.
NEW GARDEN AT YES
A team of young people who are part of the NCS (National Citizenship Scheme) have kindly donated their time and energy into transforming our garden area into a beautiful space for our young parents and their babies and children to enjoy.
The NCS team were looking for a DIY SOS type project to do in the town and when we showed them our garden and explained what we were hoping to do with it they kindly agreed to help. The team of 15 young people and 2 youth workers had just a few days to plan the project and a week to deliver it and they did all the planning, organising and hard work (even in a heat wave) themselves. They also donated plants, toys, trellis, paint and tools to the value of £450, which we are extremely grateful for.
