Young Parent’s Group
Bumps and Beyond
Run by y.e.s. and Children Centres this group has been specifically designed for young parents up to the age of 21. The sessions are extremely popular and are run every week throughout the year across Colchester and Tendring. Expectant parents, young parents and their babies or toddlers up to the age of 3 years old are welcome to drop in for a chat, coffee and a chance to meet other young parents. We provide links to other services, and offer parenting support, advice and information.
At 9 Trinity Street, Colchester we run:
Lads 2 Dads
This consists of father-to-be workshops run by the Teenage Pregnancy Link Worker and the Teenage Pregnancy Midwife. There are also male workers available for you to talk to about becoming a father, including any worries or concerns you may have.
Postnatal Sexual Health Clinic at y.e.s.
Every Wednesday (by appointment only) we have the Teenage Pregnancy Midwife on site to see you and your baby. We also have the Family Planning Nurse on site who can give general advice around sexual health and give various forms of contraception.
Baby Massage
Tuesday 11.00am to 12noon. This course is offered on a regular basis. Booking is essential. To book a place contact Fiona Gooch or the St Anne’s and Castle Children’s Centre (01206865555).
Baby Group (under 1’s)
Group for parents of babies aged 0-12 months to come along, meet other young parents and their babies, take part in activities and get advice, information and support on all aspects of parenthood. For more information call Becky Parker on 01206331118
